In the community
Bobby and Becky Yates are lifetime residents of Lubbock and feel very strongly about supporting this community and area. We have been involved in the Komen Foundation, Women’s Protective Services, Homes for the Troops, Dream Center, Texas Tech Scholarship Fund, The Children’s Home, Children’s Miracle Network, Our Father’s House, area public schools and many other programs that need the support of the community. Through our work with the Santa Cops program, we made sure that 40 children have bicycles to ride and other presents that they would not have had otherwise.
We do not mention our involvement in these worthy causes for reasons of pride. We simply want to give back to the community that has supported us throughout the years. Yates is a local company with many employees that shop and spend their earnings locally. Keeping our resources circulating in the local economy is important to the ownership of Yates Flooring Center.

Yates Flooring Center takes pride in being voted the “Best of Lubbock” for 25 consecutive years in the Carpet Store category.
Yates Flooring Center was also voted “Best of the West” for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Yates Flooring Center has been voted the "Best of the Basin" for 6 consecutive years, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
In 2009 we were chosen to be the only Shaw Design Center in our trade area.
In 2005 we were chosen to be a participant in the elite National Flooring Alliance which many consider to be the top 38 flooring companies in North America.
West Texas Home Builders Association named Yates Flooring Center the Member Company of the Year for 2020.
Yates Flooring Center was also voted “Best of the West” for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
